PostgreSQL DBA

PostgreSQL DBAWe are looking for a PostgreSQL DBA to help support a growing PostgreSQL environment in Azure. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, experience with PostgreSQL administration and performance, and be comfortable participating in on-call responsibilities while working closely with team members and Software Engineers.Key responsibilities include conducting database and table design reviews in GitHub, monitoring database performance, performing database performance tuning and optimization, supporting database backup and recovery activities, supporting database replication, managing database security and users, and participating in on-call and emergency support.Required qualifications include excellent verbal and written communication skills, 5-10 years of hands-on PostgreSQL experience, a bachelor's degree or higher, or equivalent professional experience, experience with code reviews, strong scripting skills, experience with performance tuning and optimization, experience with disaster recovery, experience with database replication, experience with user management, experience with PostgreSQL in a cloud environment, preferably Azure, and willingness to participate in an on-call rotation.Plus to have includes Agro, Claude, DataDog monitoring, GitHub, and Linux.Equal opportunity employer.
