Job Summary
The Surgical Technician I is based in the OR (Operating Room) at a healthcare facility. This role involves assisting surgical teams by preparing and handling instruments following standard policies, maintaining accurate records, and supporting patient care during operative procedures.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights, with shift hours from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, working 3 days a week for a minimum of 36 hours.
• Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist Program or appropriate training program. No minimum years of experience required.
• Certifications & Licensure: Professional certification by the Association of Surgical Technologists (AST) preferred.
• Responsibilities include following policy in set-up standardization, maintaining instrument and supply organization, sterilization, handling specimens, controlling contamination, disposals, team participation, and proficiency checklist maintenance.
• Must be capable of lifting a minimum of 50 lbs., pushing and pulling a minimum of 400 lbs., and standing for the length of the shift.
• Experience in Level 1 trauma centers performing vascular, orthopedic trauma, spine, neuro, and endovascular surgeries is preferred.
• Skills required include familiarity with neuro surgery, vascular surgery, orthopedic trauma surgery, spine surgery, and endovascular surgery.
