Buyer/Planner

Catalent seeks a Buyer/Planner for its Chelsea, Massachusetts inhalation manufacturing facility. The full-time, on-site role manages material purchasing, supplier relationships, and inventory optimization to support production schedules across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Review daily material needs and ensure timely availability for production schedules
• Schedule and prioritize material orders, expediting as needed to meet production timelines
• Maintain vendor relationships, negotiate cost savings, and manage purchase orders and vendor setup
• Monitor inventory levels and identify optimization opportunities
• Collaborate with finance on monthly and quarterly audits and support cross-functional team alignment

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred
• 5+ years of purchasing, inventory control, and warehousing experience
• Proficiency with MRP/ERP systems for inventory management
• Knowledge of purchasing and accounting processes
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform various physical activities
• Pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry experience preferred
• cGMP manufacturing environment experience strongly preferred

Compensation: $70,000–$90,000 plus bonus
