Role Overview: The Obstetrical and Gynecological (OB/GYN) Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic ultrasound examinations of the female reproductive system and fetal development. Key Responsibilities Conduct high-quality obstetric and gynecologic ultrasounds, including first trimester, detailed anatomy, fetal Doppler, and gynecological scans. Support physicians by capturing precise images, measuring fetal structures, and assisting in evaluating high-risk pregnancies and abnormalities. Ensure patient safety, comfort, and privacy, explaining procedures and providing physical support as needed. Operate ultrasound equipment, maintain calibration, follow infection control protocols, and report equipment issues. Maintain detailed patient records and communicate urgent findings promptly to physicians. Assist in training new staff or students when necessary. Qualifications & Skills ARDMS certification in OB/GYN required; additional certifications like Breast or Abdomen are a plus. Current BLS certification. Strong knowledge of fetal, pelvic, and abdominal anatomy; experience with high-risk obstetrics preferred. Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, handle physical demands, and work under stress. Minimum 1-2 years’ experience preferred; new graduates with strong clinical training may be considered. #J-18808-Ljbffr
