Position: CAD Designer Travel: This position will require around 25% travel. Job Summary The CAD Designer is a key member of Alleguard’s technical/engineering team and is responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans based on specifications provided by Alleguard customers, engineers, sales and manufacturing representatives, and plays a crucial role in the Alleguard sales and manufacturing process. Responsibilities Creating detailed CAD (Computer‑Aided Design) drawings as per the instructions and specifications provided by customers, sales representatives, manufacturing personnel, and engineers. Providing manufacturing equipment codes based on CAD drawings and equipment software (Shop Cam, G coding) to Alleguard manufacturing facilities. Providing design takeoffs for Alleguard products, including roofing, geotechnical fill materials, and other products using engineering software. Creating and altering construction sketches. Following project schedules and deadlines. Maintaining organized work files and project documentation. Qualifications Proven work experience as a CAD Designer. Proficient knowledge of CAD software and other drafting tools and software. Good understanding of manufacturing processes and construction methods. Ability to draw manually favorable, but not essential. Strong communication and project management skills. Computer literacy is a must. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in CAD, BIM, SketchUp, Word, and Excel. Strong relationship‑building skills – must be able to forge positive and productive relationships with internal stakeholders and customers. Flexible and adaptable; willing to assist with or take on assignments outside of defined role when required. Degree in drafting, engineering, or related field.
