In Store ShopperA Day in the Life:As an In Store Shopper (Drive Up & Go Clerk as we call it), your day is focused on selecting high-quality products for customers who shop online. You move throughout the store picking items, checking quality, and making selections that match what you'd choose yourself. Each order is an opportunity to get it just right, ensuring customers receive accurate and fresh groceries.Another part of the role is keeping orders organized and ready for pick up. You'll bag items carefully, manage substitutions when needed, and coordinate orders for timely handoff to customers. Between shopping, packing, and preparing orders for delivery or pickup, the work stays steady making it a good fit for someone who enjoys moving throughout the store and working in a fast-paced environment.What you bring to the table:Customer Interaction Skills: Clear and professional communication when assisting with pickup ordersProduct Selection Skills: Choosing high-quality items across perishable and non-perishable departmentsAttention to Detail: Accuracy in order fulfillment, substitutions, and product quality checksOrganization & Time Management: Managing multiple orders while maintaining speed and accuracyTechnology Use: Comfortable using handheld devices and systems for order picking and trackingProblem Awareness: Identifying out-of-stock items and selecting appropriate substitutionsOperational Awareness: Following order fulfillment processes and company standardsTeam Awareness: Coordinating order needs with team members and department processesAdaptability: Comfort with changing order volume and priorities throughout the shiftPhysical Capability: Comfort with continuous movement, lifting up to 50 lbs., and working in different store areasRequirements:Must be 18 years of age or olderPrior retail, customer service, or fulfillment experience preferredAbility to use handheld devices and follow digital order systemsStrong attention to detail required for product quality and order accuracyAvailability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidaysCompliance with company policies including safety, sanitation, and dress standardsWhy you will choose us:Albertsons Companies Inc. has always been a people-oriented business, and thoughtful people practices remain a core element of our company's philosophy.
