Director of Sourcing (PR/606491) New York, New York Salary: USD175000 - USD200000 per year About the job A highly entrepreneurial investment platform focused on acquiring and scaling software businesses is seeking to add an Investment Professional (Associate to VP level) to its team. The firm partners with management teams to drive growth, operational improvements, and long-term value creation across a portfolio of technology companies. This opportunity offers a unique blend of sourcing, investing, execution, and portfolio strategy responsibilities. The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying new investment opportunities, developing investment theses, leading diligence efforts, and supporting transactions from origination through closing. The position provides significant autonomy, direct exposure to senior leadership, and the chance to help build a rapidly growing investment platform. The Investment Professional will take on a broad range of responsibilities spanning origination, underwriting, execution, and portfolio support. Key Responsibilities: Source and evaluate software investment opportunities through proactive outreach, market mapping, and relationship development Develop investment theses and identify attractive verticals, sub-sectors, and acquisition targets Build and maintain relationships with founders, executives, advisors, and intermediaries Lead commercial, strategic, and financial diligence efforts on prospective investments Conduct company analysis, market research, and investment underwriting to support decision-making Support transaction structuring, negotiations, and execution from initial evaluation through closing Coordinate external advisors and manage diligence workstreams throughout the investment process Partner with portfolio company leadership teams on growth initiatives, strategic projects, and M&A opportunities Help improve sourcing infrastructure, processes, and best practices as the organization continues to scale Qualifications: 4-10+ years of experience in private equity, growth equity, venture capital, corporate development, investment banking, or a related investing role Strong interest in software and technology-enabled businesses Demonstrated ability to evaluate investment opportunities and exercise sound commercial judgment Experience leading or supporting due diligence and transaction execution processes Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with management teams and stakeholders Entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to take ownership in a fast-paced environment Strong analytical, financial modeling, and investment underwriting capabilities A builder mentality and desire to help shape a growing investment platform #J-18808-Ljbffr
