TRUSS ASSEMBLER- WEEKLY PAY- START ASAP

Pay: $20-$22/hour

Hours: Monday-Friday, 6 am- 4 pm

Location: Sioux Falls, SD

This role involves constructing roof trusses on a high-volume assembly line using hand tools and manual techniques. You will perform physically demanding tasks throughout the day, including heavy lifting, repetitive movements, and frequent climbing on and off elevated platforms while aligning and securing lumber components to precise specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Assemble roof trusses on an assembly line by aligning wood pieces according to marked lines on a large work table.
• Use a large hammer to secure and fasten wood components together in the correct positions.
• Follow production goals and work at a very fast pace to meet daily output targets.
• Perform continuous manual labor, including heavy lifting, bending, and climbing on and off platforms and tables throughout the shift.
• Ability to perform heavy manual labor for the full duration of the shift, including lifting, carrying, and repetitive motions.
• Ability to pass a tape measure test and accurately read and use a tape measure.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in both construction and manufacturing environments is a plus.
• Candidates without construction or manufacturing experience may be considered if they have a very strong work history, typically 2–3 years at each previous company.
• Experience in rough carpentry or working with trusses is beneficial.
• Ability to work both day and night shifts as required by business needs.
• Willingness to work every other Saturday as part of the regular schedule.

Work Environment:

You will work in a very intense, fast-paced production environment focused on achieving high daily output goals. The facility operates with approximately 130 team members across three plants. The work is mostly indoors but not temperature controlled, so conditions can be hot and dusty during the summer and cold during the winter. You will be moving and working continuously throughout the day with no standing around, and the work is highly physical.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sioux Falls, SD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
