Practice Management Specialist

Practice Management Specialist Davis Wright Tremaine LLP is looking for a Practice Management Specialist to join our team in Seattle, Portland, Los Angeles, Culver City, San Francisco, New York, or Washington D.C. offices. We offer a hybrid work engagement with two days of remote work and three days in‑office. On a Typical Day You Will Practice Group Operations Support the Practice Manager with day‑to‑day operations, budget, meetings and communications. Assist with tasks related to attorneys, professionals, and business departments (Information Governance, HR, Knowledge Management, Finance/Accounting, Recruiting, Marketing, Business Development, Client Experience, Professional Development, DEI, Pro Bono). Implement process improvements to improve service levels to lawyers. Maintain practice‑specific resources for lawyer‑led trainings. Guide attorneys on efficient use of technology, especially AI. Practice Group and Firmwide Strategy Support PG Chairs, partners, and operations to develop and execute strategic plans focused on culture, revenue, profitability, growth, retention, reputation, and brand. Build trust and credibility with partners, counsel, and associates to understand attorney experience, strengths, and capabilities. People Development Assist the Practice Manager with attorney integration and training content development. Financial Prepare financial and KPI reports. Track and maintain Practice Group budgets and expenses. Analyze monthly accounts receivable and collections. Business Development Support the Business Development and Marketing departments on RFPs, pitch responses, marketing collateral, and recognition efforts. Promote client and group initiatives, including training programs and CLEs. Join us if you have 2+ years of experience in a law firm or professional services organization, or equivalent internship and education. Bachelor's Degree; strong academic record highly preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across all firm functions and with clients. Strong writing, grammar, spelling and proofreading abilities. Calm and composed in stressful situations. Proficiency with MS Office, especially Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel (CRM a plus). Attention to detail, ownership of projects, prioritization and deadline management in a fast‑paced environment. Ability to work independently and as part of a high‑functioning team. Location & Salary Washington State The salary range is $77,000–$85,000 annualized (about $39.49–$43.59 hourly). Full‑time employees may be eligible for bonuses, health insurance, HSA, disability, dental, vision, telemedicine, virtual counseling, life insurance, 401(k), vacation, sick leave, paid holidays, employee assistance program, voluntary insurance options, and commuter/transit programs. California (Los Angeles & Culver City) Salary range $74,000–$85,000 ($37.95–$43.59 hourly). In San Francisco $83,000–$90,000 ($42.56–$46.15 hourly). Full‑time benefits as above. New York Salary range $86,000–$96,000 ($47.25–$52.75 hourly). Benefits as above. District of Columbia Salary range $80,000–$88,000 ($41.03–$45.13 hourly). Benefits as above.
