Meet the team: The Onboard Platform - High Level OS team is an embedded software team which is responsible for managing OS bring-up and maintenance including but not limited to bootloader, kernel/device tree, rootfs, runtime configs, firmware/secure-world interfaces, and secure boot for onboard/secondary systems. What you’ll do: Produce, test, and maintain Board Support Packages for a variety of platforms Develop a custom bootchain for the platform Develop and maintain the custom Linux OS running on our ADAS platforms Implement secure boot mechanisms Implement recovery boot workflows Manage CVEs throughout the lifecycle of the platform Configure IPC mechanisms to enable communication between Real-Time and Application domains Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of hardware, software and system engineers to ensure the success of our product What you'll need to succeed: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics or a related field and 4+ years of relevant experience (or Master's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, or PhD) Experience with Yocto/OpenEmbedded, buildroot, or similar Linux packaging technologies Bootloader experience, including but not limited to U-Boot or UEFI. The expected base salary range for this full-time position in California is $179,200 - $268,800 USD. Actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level. Latitude employees are also eligible to participate in Latitude’s annual bonus programs, equity compensation, and generous Company benefits program, subject to eligibility requirements.
