Event Staff - Part-time

Summary The Part-Time Event Staff is responsible for ensuring the safety, security, and positive experience of all patrons, artists, and staff during events. This role involves monitoring various venue areas, enforcing policies, providing assistance, and contributing to a welcoming and secure environment. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Provide guests with accurate event and venue information and directions. Monitor designated venue entry points, backstage, and front-of-house areas. Enforce venue policies and procedures to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all. Identify and address prohibited items or behaviors in accordance with venue guidelines. Secure door entrances, exits, and restricted areas to prevent unauthorized access. Maintain clear aisles and pathways for safe and efficient patron movement. Assist patrons with seating, wayfinding, and general inquiries, providing excellent customer service. Collaborate with other event staff, security, and management to respond to incidents and ensure overall safety. Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, and incidents promptly to appropriate staff. Assist with emergency procedures, including evacuations, as directed. Interact professionally and courteously with artists, performers, and all guests. Supervisory Responsibilities None. Customer service experience preferred. Skills And Abilities Excellent customer relations and communication skills with a friendly and professional demeanor. Strong observational skills and attention to detail. Ability to enforce policies and procedures consistently and respectfully. Ability to read and interpret documents such as instructions, policies, and procedures. Ability to deal effectively and courteously with the general public. Availability Must have a flexible schedule and willingness to work primarily nights and weekends, and occasionally holidays, based on event schedules. Other Requirements Reliable method of communication for scheduling and urgent contact. Physical Demands Stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear regularly. Use hands to finger, handle, or feel frequently. Occasionally climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Require close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus. Work Environment Exposed to various temperatures and elevated noise levels during events. Must remain at the assigned position until properly relieved or dismissed.
