Job Title: Cardiac Cath Lab Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Cath Lab Tech Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day 5x8-Hour or 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 8 or 10 Hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent Cath Lab experience License: VA or compact license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and one of the following: RCIS, RCVT, or RCES Must-Have: - Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology program leading toward Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist registry - Candidates with ARRT credentials will not be considered - Must be willing to cover holiday call - No background or license hits Description: Client is looking for a Cardiac Cath Lab Tech. The Cardiac Cath Lab performs minimally invasive cardiac procedures and offers a full-service Electrophysiology (EP) program. Candidates may be assigned to support other cardiovascular departments, including the Cardiac Cath Lab and Electrophysiology. Rotating weekday, weekend, and holiday call is required. Most shifts are approximately 8 hours, but some days may extend beyond this based on procedural volume. Candidates should expect to average approximately 12 call days per month, including weekends. Travelers must be willing to cover holiday call. No holiday time off will be approved. Candidates with any license or background issues will not be considered. All candidates must have current documentation of certifications when submitting applications. A thorough review of the candidate's history is essential. Call rotates among all Cath Lab staff. Candidates will be required to successfully pass an EKG testing. Fit testing requirements will also be a consideration for this position. The facility cannot accommodate special fit test requirements. Modules will be required prior to starting. Modules are billable and three hours are typically required to complete.
