Delivery Driver

Van's Home Center is looking for a Delivery Driver to join our team! As a Delivery Driver, you are a key member of our Warehouse team. You are responsible for delivering a variety of home furnishings and appliances to our clients. This position is right for you if you are reliable, hard-working, self-motivated, and able to work well within a team. Ideally, you are driven to provide the highest level of customer service and satisfaction and able to effectively manage a variety of situations on a day-to-day basis.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver a wide variety of items to different addresses and different routes
• Installation of home appliances
• Exude the utmost respect for customers and their homes/personal property, and take all precautions to avoid damages during delivery and/or installation
• Follow route and schedule
• Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate delivery vehicle as needed
• Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jack
• Follow DOT regulations and safety standards
• Must be able to lift and move a minimum of 50 to 100lbs.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record (no CDL required)
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
• 1 Year delivery driving experience ideal but not required
• Experience or knowledge in the plumbing, electrical and/or HVAC trades
• Ability to drive multiple types of vehicles, i.e., box truck and express van
• Excellent organizational skills
• Must be able to work well with others
• Must have excellent time management skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, and maintain effective relationships with warehouse team members
• Assisting in the Warehouse as needed, under the direction of the Warehouse and/or Operations manager

Compensation: $40,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
