Registered Nurse Casual Richardson, TX, US 8 days ago Requisition ID: 1031 Position Summary Develops, implements, evaluates and revises a plan of care of assigned patients and families while promoting the mission and values of CORALVITA Healthcare. The provision of care includes direct care along with the delegation and supervision of all nursing care in accordance with the applicable Nurse Practice Act. Works in a charge nurse capacity as assigned based on patient and hospital need. Specific components of the Registered Nurse role include demonstrating clinical competence; managing patient care; improving quality of care; establishing professional relationships and utilizing professional skills; fulfilling responsibilities of the role of the hospital; and developing clinical expertise per specialty. Position Supervisory Responsibilities Supervises the following positions: Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, Nursing Aides and Techs. Position Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Current,valid,andactivelicensetopracticeasaRegisteredNurseinthestateofemploymentrequired. CurrentBLScertificationfromaCORALVITA-approvedvendorrequired. CurrentACLScertificationfromaCORALVITA-approvedvendorrequiredwithinsix(6)monthsofhire. ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS: Previousacutecareexperienceisstronglypreferred. Ability to project a professional image. Knowledgeofregulatorystandardsandcompliancerequirements. Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills. Abilitytomakeindependentdecisionswhencircumstanceswarrant. Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions. Freedomfromillegaluseofandeffectsofuseofdrugsandalcoholintheworkplace Certificates, Licensures, Registrations Current,valid,andactivelicensetopracticeasaRegisteredNurseinthestateofemploymentrequired. Current BLS certification from a CORALVITA-approved vendor required. ACLS certification from a CORALVITA-approved vendor required within six (6) months of hire. Regularandpunctualattendance. Language Skills English is the primary language of the facility. Ability to read and write, communicate clearly with co-workers and customers and to respond to appropriate questions regarding work process or work product . Participatesinstaffandotherfacilityteam meetings 25% Develop, document, and implement individualized care plans for assigned patients, utilizingresourcesofinterdisciplinaryteam andfamilywhenappropriate,andconsidering developmentallifestageofpatient.Accuratelyandconsistentlyutilizetheexistingplanof care. 25% Applyallelementsofeffectivemedicationadministrationincludingpatientidentification, medication confirmation, vital signs and/or lab values, time frames, IV rates and sites, and all policy and procedure guidelines. 20% Actively ensure medical treatment regimen is completed, supplies are ordered, and physicianordersaretranscribed,andresultsandactionsaresharedwiththeunitteam. Participate in patient rounds and assist physician as necessary. 10% Adequatelyperform anddocumentwoundcare,understandanddeliverrespiratorycare as appropriate, observe patient daily for skin integrity and lesions.Adhere to the implementation, compliance, and monitoring of the Infection Control Program following all policies, procedures and safety regulations. 10% Responsible for coordinating the deliveryof nursing care through the utilization of the nursingprocessofassessment,planning,interventionandevaluationoftheindividual patient. The provision of care includes direct care along with the delegation and supervision of all nursing care in accordance with the applicable Nurse Practice Act. Responsible for coordinating nursing unit activities related to patient care during assignedCharge shifts. 5% Remaincurrentwithliteraturerelatedtodepartmentsforwhichresponsibleandmaintain an updated methodology, tools, manuals and criteria as necessary and appropriate. Attendandparticipateinstaffandotherfacilityteam meetings. 5% Additional Responsibilities Maintainexcellentworkingrelationshipwiththemedicalprofessionalandotherhealthrelated facilities and organizations. PromoteCompanyphilosophy,missionandobjectiveswithinandtocustomersoutsidethehospital. Demonstratesabilitytoprioritizetasks/responsibilitiesandcompletedutieswithinallottedtime.
