The provision of care includes direct care along with the delegation and supervision of all nursing care in accordance with the applicable Nurse Practice Act. Works in a charge nurse capacity as assigned based on patient and hospital need. Specific components of the Registered Nurse role include demonstrating clinical competence; managing patient care; improving quality of care; establishing professional relationships and utilizing professional skills; fulfilling responsibilities of the role of the hospital; and developing clinical expertise per specialty. Position Supervisory Responsibilities Supervises the following positions: Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, Nursing Aides and Techs. Position Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Current,valid,andactivelicensetopracticeasaRegisteredNurseinthestateofemploymentrequired. CurrentBLScertificationfromaCORALVITA-approvedvendorrequired. Participate in patient rounds and assist physician as necessary. 10% Adequatelyperform anddocumentwoundcare,understandanddeliverrespiratorycare as appropriate, observe patient daily for skin integrity and lesions.Adhere to the implementation, compliance, and monitoring of the Infection Control Program following all policies, procedures and safety regulations. 10% Responsible for coordinating the deliveryof nursing care through the utilization of the nursingprocessofassessment,planning,interventionandevaluationoftheindividual patient.
