The Cheese Steak Shop is currently seeking General Managers. We have 24 locations in the Greater Bay Area and have been serving Philly Cheese Steaks sandwiches for 40 years! Our famous Philadelphia style hot sandwiches are iconic and unique in the Bay Area. We have fans all over the world and we need you in order to continue our success. General Managers are responsible for all aspects of operating a modern-day restaurant. We are continuing to remodel restaurants and are poised for significant growth. If you know how to be a leader, develop teamwork, understand coaching, and have a great attitude this could be a great career for you.

For you:

• This is a full-time, hourly position, working a 40-hour week, plus 7.5 hours of scheduled overtime

General Managers will ensure:

• Guest satisfaction
• Ensure quality food
• Must have a minimum 2 years FAST CASUAL RESTAURANT supervisor/management experience
• Teamwork and a positive upbeat working environment
• Building sales
• Marketing
• Cost Controls
• P & L responsibilities
• General clerical duties, including computer experience
• Hiring, interviewing training and scheduling
• Must have supervisory skills and experience
• Bilingual is a plus

Founders Keith and Kathy Layton opened the first “The Cheese Steak Shop” in San Francisco in 1982. East coast transplants with a love for authentic cheese steaks, we’ve made it our mission to bring the real-deal, Philly-style sandwich to our new home in the Bay Area.
In early 2018, The Cheese Steak Shop was purchased by two foodservice professionals, Dana Huie and Tony Bendana, who combined, have over 80 years of experience in all facets of the Restaurant industry.
For 40 years we have been committed to using high quality, fresh ingredients to make the best possible sandwiches. To keep it authentic, we even source specialty items like our Amoroso rolls, Tastykakes and Hanks beverages direct from Philadelphia!
All our shops make your sandwich fresh to order, any way you want it: “wit or witout ” onions, with white American or Provolone cheese, hot and/or sweet peppers, even using chicken or veggies in place of steak. No matter how you like it, The Cheese Steak Shop loves to serve it to you the “Real Philly” way.
