Role Description The BIM Manager OBD (Bentley) role is a full-time, on-site position based in New York, NY. This role is responsible for leading and managing Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes using Bentley OpenBuildings Designer (OBD) across multidisciplinary projects. Day-to-day tasks include setting BIM standards, coordinating models among architecture and MEP disciplines, overseeing model quality and data integrity, and facilitating clash detection and resolution. The BIM Manager collaborates with project managers, designers, and engineers to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient model production and delivery. The role also involves training and mentoring project teams on BIM best practices, optimizing workflows, and supporting digital innovation initiatives within the office. Qualifications Strong proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools and workflows, with hands-on experience managing complex project models. Experience in BIM coordination across multidisciplinary teams, including model integration, clash detection, and issue tracking. Background in virtual design and construction processes, including 3D modeling, visualization, and model-based collaboration. Foundational knowledge of architecture or related design disciplines, with an ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and design intent. Experience working with Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) models, and coordinating architectural and MEP systems within BIM environments. Advanced expertise with Bentley OpenBuildings Designer (OBD) and familiarity with other Bentley ecosystem tools is strongly preferred. Ability to develop and implement BIM standards, execution plans, templates, and quality control procedures. Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to guide teams and lead coordination meetings. Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
