Job Title

Surgical Technologist / Scrub Tech – Ortho/Neuro/Spine

Contract (13 Weeks) | Variable Day Shift | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and prepare operative suites for patients, including reviewing case carts to confirm all required supplies are available prior to procedures
• Scrub surgical cases across a variety of specialties in a high-volume OR environment averaging 40–60 cases per day across 21 operating rooms
• Efficiently turn over rooms between multiple procedures throughout the shift
• Perform on-call duties including 6–8 weeknight call shifts and 1–2 weekend call shifts during the contract period; must be available and present in the OR within 30 minutes of being called
• May be required to float to additional facilities within the region as needed
• Assist with downtime tasks as needed and support the onboarding of new hires

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program required
• Active CST certification through NBSTSA or NCCT required
• BLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted)
• Minimum 4+ years of experience in the operating room required
• Prior travel assignment experience required
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Strong proficiency in Ortho, Neuro, and Spine required; must be comfortable with complex spine, neuro, and craniotomy cases, as well as total joint procedures
• Must have personal reliable transportation — cannot rely on rideshare services due to on-call response time requirements
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible (radius rule expires 9/25)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in General Surgery, GYN, Urology, Plastics, ENT, or GI is a plus
• Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable managing change in a fast-paced surgical environment
• Strong work ethic with a collaborative, team-oriented approach and willingness to mentor new staff
