Registered Nurse - IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Cardiovascular Registered Nurse

The Cardiovascular Registered Nurse provides specialized care for patients with cardiac conditions, utilizing clinical judgment to diagnose and treat responses to health issues. This role is essential in a high-acuity unit focused on advanced cardiovascular procedures and post-operative care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and implement appropriate interventions based on clinical judgment.
• Monitor patients undergoing procedures such as PTCA, stents, TAVR, MitraClip, and bi-ventricular pacemakers.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and update individualized patient care plans.
• Administer medications, manage IVs, and perform EKGs with proficiency.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, including strict attendance to policy guidelines.
• Document patient progress and communicate effectively with healthcare team members.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Michigan State Nursing License.
• Possess at least 1 year of Stepdown nursing experience.
• Proficient in cardiac care and EKG interpretation.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-unit environment including floating to similar units.
• Successfully complete a skills checklist within one year of application.
• Certified in ACLS and BLS.
