Locum Tenens Emergency Medicine Physician Opportunity

Physician opportunity in Emergency Medicine in Jennings, Louisiana. This locum tenens assignment with Ochsner American Legion Hospital, facilitated by SCP Health - Locums, offers coverage from Jun 01, 2025, onwards. The shift schedule is days, 6a 6p, with 12-hour shifts, 3-4 shifts per week. There are three positions available to fill a full-time vacancy. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered.

Call coverage is not required. The facility sees an average of 38 patients per day, focusing on emergency medicine procedures. Support staff, including NPPAs, are available. Hospital privileges are required, with a credentialing timeline of 60 days.

Requirements include board certification in EM or IM/FM, an active Louisiana license, LA DEA and CS, active DEA and CS, PALS, ATLS, ACLS certifications, and two years of emergency medicine experience. Duties involve providing comprehensive emergency medical care, managing patient loads with NPPA support, supervising NPPA in Fast Track, and maintaining active licensure and certifications.
