Job Description

Job Summary:

Perform magnetic resonance imaging procedures on patients using advanced equipment, ensuring high-quality images for diagnosis. Administer contrast materials as needed and uphold safety protocols throughout each exam.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare the scan room and patient for MRI examinations.
• Draw up and administer IV and oral contrast agents when indicated, ensuring patient safety.
• Screen patients for contraindications, explain procedures, and answer questions to ensure comfort and compliance.
• Transport, position, and assist patients during scans, adjusting positioning for optimal imaging.
• Utilize correct protocols, coils, and restraints to acquire high-quality images and ensure proper data entry and image orientation.
• Compile and prepare clinical records and images for review by radiologists, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Qualifications:

• Possess 2+ years of MRI technologist experience.
• Hold current MRI certification through ARRT or AMRIT.
• Have experience working with Siemens MRI equipment.
• Hold an associate degree or higher in radiologic technology or related field.
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Demonstrate proficient skills relevant to MRI imaging and patient care.
