Service Support Specialist for Laboratory Automation

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Service Support Specialist III to deliver advanced technical support for laboratory automation systems. The role combines remote diagnostics and on-site troubleshooting, with collaboration across global teams and a focus on resolving systemic issues and improving service capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 3 advanced technical support via remote diagnostics and on-site investigations
- Collaborate with Field Service Engineers and internal teams to ensure optimal equipment performance
- Deliver training and build customer relationships across partner organizations
- Work with R&D, Product Management, Quality, and Field Service to resolve systemic issues and inform product improvements
- Manage priorities autonomously and communicate across time zones with global teams
Requirements
- Advanced degree with 3+ years technical service experience, or Bachelor's degree with 5+ years experience
- Degree in engineering, computer science, electromechanical engineering, or related discipline
- Experience developing technical documentation, service standards, and troubleshooting methodologies
- Expertise in instrument maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting
- Proficiency with equipment installations, calibrations, and IQ/OQ/PQ qualification protocols
- Experience with laboratory automation platforms and control software systems
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows and standard office applications
Compensation: $68,200–$102,250 base
