This entrepreneur leads the store team to drive incremental sales growth, embed the brand in the fabric of your location, provide a level of customer service that consistently exceeds expectation and cultivates high performing teams. The store manager drives operational excellence through understanding of Goodwill NYNJ standards and obsessive attention to detail. The Awesome Things You’ll Do Drive for Results Analyze available sales reports and data to assess the needs of the business and create business strategies based that analysis. Set KPI goals (ATV, UPT and conversion) and hold team accountable for achieving. Continuously coach and motivate team to meet assigned goals and expectations. Ensure development of associates’ sales techniques and product knowledge to maximize sales growth. Demonstrate sales leadership for the team by playing an active role on the selling floor. Collaborate with Regional/District Manager and Marketing to identify marketing opportunities to drive sales. Customer Service Drive Goodwill brand loyalty through coaching sales team to share knowledge of Goodwill Rewards program and Mission, consistently educating customers of the benefits of participation. Ensure all associates provide the highest level of customer service. Cultivate customer relationships by knowing and engaging repeat clientele. Resolve all customer complaints and issues quickly, efficiently and with respect resulting in an overall positive experience. Operations Manage store P&L by managing controllable expenses and labor cost ensuring store profitability. Ensure cash control procedures are properly followed including bank deposits, safe funds and petty cash. Effective scheduling to maintain adequate floor coverage and consistent processing of donations while maintaining payroll budgets. Protect store assets and inventory. Bring any Loss Prevention concerns to the Regional/District Manager’s attention. Responsible for the accuracy of product assessment, boutique product selection and pricing where applicable. Ensure stockroom is maximizing production of donations and flow of product to the sales floor is quick and efficient. Merchandising/ Visual Implement and maintain all merchandising directives and ensure execution of effective merchandising strategies. Partner with the warehouse and Market Manager to ensure appropriate assortment and inventory levels for the store. Identify and communicate product concerns in a timely manner. Ensure the selling floor is neat, clean, always organized and reflects the correct visual image. Ensure presentation of all windows, displays, fixtures and all visual areas are reflective of current visual direction. Team Management Recruit, train, and develop teams ensuring all positions are filled in a timely manner with qualified candidates. Continually assess employee level of proficiency in their role and provide training in a timely manner to ensure they have the tools required to meet expectations. Continually evaluate the performance of each member of the team and provide consistent feedback to ensure improvement, develop bench strength and plan for succession. Resolve all employee relation issues in a timely and effective manner, partnering with People & Culture when needed. Our Must Haves High School Diploma or Equivalent required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Minimum 5 years’ experience in retail store management position. Proficiency in Microsoft suite and ability to adapt to internal applications. Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written). Must be able to stand for long periods of time and able to push/pull up to 50lbs. Must have open availability and able to work holidays. Your schedule will be based on business needs. Proven ability to drive and exceed individual and store results. Proven ability to build lasting relationships with colleagues. Ability to adapt to and engage with internal and external customers. Good verbal and written communication skills with customers, sales leadership team and colleagues. Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team. Ability to receive feedback and act when appropriate. Accuracy and attention to detail required. Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs which include evenings, weekends and holidays.
