Residential HVAC Service Technician

Titan Heating & Cooling is looking for an experienced Residential HVAC Service Technician to join our growing Rochester-area team.

This is a full-time service position for a technician who takes pride in diagnosing problems correctly, performing quality repairs, communicating clearly with homeowners, and delivering a professional customer experience.

You will diagnose, repair, maintain, and troubleshoot residential HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, boilers, water heaters, thermostats, indoor air quality products, and related equipment.

Responsibilities include:

• Diagnose and troubleshoot residential HVAC equipment accurately and efficiently
• Perform HVAC repairs and preventative maintenance
• Clearly explain system conditions, repair options, and recommendations to homeowners
• Complete repairs according to manufacturer specifications, applicable codes, and industry best practices
• Document diagnoses, repairs, recommendations, equipment information, and photos using company software
• Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked service vehicle
• Maintain tools, meters, diagnostic equipment, and company property
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, office personnel, and field leadership
• Identify legitimate opportunities to improve comfort, efficiency, air quality, and equipment reliability
• Participate in ongoing technical training and professional development
• Participate in Titan's seasonal weekend after-hours service rotation
• Provide customers with a professional, respectful, low-pressure service experience

What we're looking for:

• Residential HVAC service and diagnostic experience
• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills
• Working knowledge of furnaces, air conditioning, heat pumps, boilers, and related residential equipment
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly to homeowners
• Professional appearance and attitude
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Ability to work independently while also functioning as part of a team
• Comfortable using tablets, mobile apps, and field-service software
• Commitment to continuing education and improving technical skills

This is a physically active position that may require working in basements, attics, crawlspaces, mechanical rooms, and outdoor environments throughout the year.
