Project Accountant | Scottsdale, AZ | Full-Time – Hybrid Headfarmer partnering with a well-established design/architecture firm in the Phoenix area to find their next Project Accountant . THE ROLE The Project Accountant is the financial owner of assigned projects — managing the full lifecycle from proposal and contract execution through billing, collections, and closeout. You\'ll partner closely with Project Managers, Project Directors, and Partners, owning project-level financial accuracy, risk identification, and issue resolution while transaction processing stays centralized within Accounting. This is a role for someone who thrives with autonomy, juggles multiple concurrent projects with varying contract complexity, and wants real ownership over the numbers that drive project success. WHAT YOU\'LL OWN Full financial lifecycle of assigned projects — budgets, billing, consultant commitments, and cash flow Fee estimates for proposals, amendments, and additional services Contract setup, modifications, and fee proposal templates Client billing and invoicing accuracy, coordinated monthly with Project Managers Invoice aging monitoring and collections follow-through Contract revenue forecasting and project margin/backlog tracking Month-end close support and revenue budget reporting Early identification of financial risk and discrepancies WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE Accurate, on-time billing and reduced invoice aging Consultant invoices reconciled before payment Clear, monthly project financial visibility for leadership Risks flagged early, not after the fact WHAT YOU BRING Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Experience with Deltek Ajera, NetSuite, or similar ERP systems Sound financial judgment, attention to detail, and high integrity #J-18808-Ljbffr
