Our team of nurses and paramedics handle a large part of the home visits while the Physician Assistant will drive the objective of keeping patients well and out of the hospital. STATUS: Full-time

LOCATION: Rochester General Hospital

DEPARTMENT: Rochester General Medical Associates Outpatient Department

SCHEDULE: Days (Monday - Friday)

ATTRIBUTES

• Prior experience in cardiology or acute care is a plus
• Compassionate, warm and patient focused
• Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Exceptional documentation skills and professional behavior

RESPONSIBILITIES

Treatment Plans. Develops treatment plans in conjunction with attending physician to provide optimal patient medical management.

Continuing Medical Education. Participates in continuing medical education to include specialty and sub-specialty meetings, clubs, boards, and conferences.

Consultations. Orders consultations and interacts with members of other specialty medical teams.

EDUCATION:

BS: Physician Assistant (Required)

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:

PA-C - Certified Physician Assistant - National Committee on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), RPA - Registered Physician Assistant - New York State Education Department (NYSED)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

PAY RANGE: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
