Job Title: Travel Contract Welder

Job Description

This role involves welding and assembling structural metal components and products using MIG welding processes in a well-organized fabrication environment. You will set up parts, interpret blueprints and weld symbols, and produce high-quality welds that meet company standards while maintaining a safe and clean work area.

Responsibilities

• Weld and assemble structural metal components and products using MIG welding processes.
• Set up parts for welding using hand tools, clamps, jigs, and fixtures to ensure proper alignment and fit.
• Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, weld symbols, and work orders to determine job requirements.
• Produce clean, accurate, and structurally sound welds that meet company quality standards and specifications.
• Inspect completed welds for quality, accuracy, and adherence to drawings and weld symbols.
• Follow welding safety procedures and use equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area throughout the shift.
• Operate and care for welding machines and related equipment in accordance with company guidelines.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience with MIG welding processes in a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and understand fabrication drawings, blueprints, and weld symbols.
• Knowledge of welding safety procedures and applicable quality standards.
• Skill in setting up parts for welding using hand tools, clamps, jigs, and fixtures.
• Ability to produce consistent, clean, and high-quality welds.
• Attention to detail when inspecting completed welds for quality and accuracy.
• Capability to work extended shifts and maintain productivity over a 60-hour work week.

Shift Available

4:30pm - 3:00am, Monday - Saturday

Work Environment

The role operates in a well-kept, organized fabrication facility equipped with modern welding machines, including Fronius equipment or similar technology.

This is a Contract position based out of St. Louis, MO.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in St. Louis,MO.
