Registered Nurse - Endoscopy

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day Shift: 4x10 Hours (08:30 - 19:00), with possible adjustment to 07:30 - 18:00. Call shifts required on 1-2 weekends/holidays per month.

The Endoscopy RN will be responsible for providing expert nursing care in a fast-paced endoscopy environment. Proficiency in managing conscious sedation and interpreting dysrhythmias is critical. The role requires experience in high-volume, high-acuity settings and entails floating within the endoscopy procedural and pre/post-care areas.

Responsibilities

• Administer conscious sedation and monitor patients during endoscopic procedures.
• Prepare the endoscopy suite and assist physicians during procedures.
• Provide post-procedure care and ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Document patient care and procedures accurately in the Epic charting system.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Float between intake, sedation, and post-procedure areas as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an acute hospital setting, with an ICU background highly preferred.
• Current certifications in ACLS and BLS.
• Conscious sedation certification is highly preferred.
• Must be proficient in EKG interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.
• Experience with Epic charting system is required.
