About the Role

As a Junior Document Control Analyst at Rocket EMS, you will help maintain accurate, organized, and accessible company and customer documentation that supports printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) manufacturing. You will manage document revisions, process change orders, maintain product records, and prepare production labels while supporting company, customer, quality, and regulatory requirements.

This role requires strong attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with Engineering, Quality, Production, and other departments.

What You’ll Do

• Receive, review, catalog, distribute, retrieve, and archive company and customer documents according to established document control procedures.

• Verify document accuracy, completeness, revision status, and required approvals before release.

• Maintain controlled documents and revision histories, ensuring teams have access to current, approved information and preventing unintended use of obsolete documents.

• Create, route, track, and process Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), Manufacturing Change Orders (MCOs), deviations, and related documentation through established approval workflows.

• Create and maintain bills of materials (BOMs), product configurations, and product structures in the ERP system using approved documentation.

• Create and maintain part numbers, revision levels, and product serial number records to support accurate identification and traceability.

• Prepare and process work order labels according to Manufacturing Process Instructions (MPIs) and customer requirements. Work with Engineering to clarify incomplete or unclear instructions before producing labels.

• Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Production, and other departments to resolve documentation discrepancies and support production needs.

• Retrieve and organize records for internal reviews, audits, and customer requests while protecting confidential and controlled information.

• Prioritize document requests and change activity to meet production schedules and departmental deadlines.

• Complete required training and perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Minimum of two years of experience in document control or records management.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Access.

• Experience using ERP and database systems to manage document records, change orders, deviations, product information, and labels.

• Working knowledge of contract manufacturing documentation, electronic file formats, and processes, particularly those used in PCBA manufacturing.

• Understanding of document control practices, including revision control, approval workflows, record retention, and traceability.

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify discrepancies in documents, part numbers, revisions, and production records.

• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and complete work accurately and on time.

• Clear written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to take initiative, follow established procedures, work independently, and collaborate effectively with others.

• Familiarity with printers, scanners, label printers, and standard office equipment.

Work Authorization and Export Compliance

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. This position may require access to export-controlled information. Eligibility for that access will be evaluated in accordance with applicable U.S. export control laws, including ITAR and EAR, and any required government authorizations.

Pay Range

$22—$24 USD

ITAR/EAR Compliance: Due to the nature of the work performed at Rocket EMS, this position may require access to export-controlled technical data or technology. The successful candidate must be eligible to access such information under applicable U.S. export-control laws or be eligible for any required government authorization.
