Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every other weekend required (including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 54-bed Cardiovascular Telemetry unit, organized across three 18-bed wings
• Care for cardiovascular telemetry patients, including those in the overflow unit as needed
• Monitor and interpret telemetry data, responding appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC
• Float to other units based on facility needs as requested
• Adhere to holiday scheduling requirements; if a holiday falls within the assignment period, the nurse may be scheduled to work

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license — Virginia license required to be in hand at time of submittal, or proof of a compact license
• BLS certification required — must be through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• ACLS certification required — must be through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• NIHSS certification required; NIH and stroke education required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Specialty (Telemetry) experience within the last year required
• One supervisory reference required at time of submittal
• SSN required at time of submittal
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a cardiovascular or telemetry-specific unit
• Flexible scheduling availability with minimal time-off requests during the assignment period
• PALS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred
