Senior Project Manager, Landscape ArchitectureHalff has an immediate opening for a Senior Project Manager to join our growing Landscape Architecture team in our The Woodlands office. This leadership role is ideal for a licensed Landscape Architect who is passionate about creating impactful outdoor environments while leading project teams, developing client relationships, and helping shape the future of our Landscape Architecture practice.Our team works on a diverse portfolio of projects including parks and recreation facilities, trail systems, streetscapes, urban design, campus environments, mixed-use developments, civic spaces, and large-scale planning initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, proven project management experience, and a commitment to mentoring staff and growing client partnerships.This position offers an outstanding opportunity to advance your career with an employee-owned firm that values collaboration, innovation, and professional growth while providing a path toward increased leadership and ownership opportunities.What you will do:Lead and manage landscape architecture projects from planning and concept development through construction administration.Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, subconsultants, and project partners.Develop and manage project scopes, budgets, schedules, and staffing plans.Oversee the preparation of conceptual designs, master plans, construction documents, specifications, and cost estimates.Coordinate with internal multidisciplinary teams including planning, civil engineering, transportation, water resources, and environmental professionals.Conduct quality assurance and quality control reviews to ensure project deliverables meet Halff and client standards.Lead project meetings, presentations, workshops, and public engagement efforts.Mentor and develop Landscape Architects, designers, and technical staff.Support recruiting, staff development, and team growth initiatives.Participate in business development activities including client relationship management, proposal preparation, interviews, and strategic planning.Identify and pursue opportunities with municipalities, parks departments, educational institutions, developers, and other public and private sector clients.Contribute to the continued growth and success of Halff's Landscape Architecture practice throughout the Houston region.What you will need:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited university.Professional Landscape Architect (PLA) licensure, with Texas registration preferred or ability to obtain Texas registration.10+ years of progressive experience in landscape architecture, planning, and project management.Proven experience managing multidisciplinary projects and project teams.Strong client relationship and business development skills.Experience preparing and delivering proposals, interviews, and presentations.Strong understanding of project budgeting, scheduling, and resource management.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficiency with AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and related design software.Experience with Land F/X, GIS, SketchUp, Lumion, or similar visualization tools is a plus.Ability to mentor staff and foster a collaborative, people-focused team environment.Preferred Qualifications:Established client relationships within the Houston and Southeast Texas markets.Experience managing parks, trails, streetscape, urban design, campus, recreation, or community development projects.Demonstrated success leading business development efforts and winning new work.Previous experience supervising and developing landscape architecture professionals.Interested candidates who meet or exceed the above qualifications are invited to submit a letter of interest, resume, and project portfolio that demonstrates their abilities.
