Direct Support Professional - Group Homes (Part-Time)

Job Title: Direct Service Professional Department: Nursing Supported Group Homes Hiring Bonus Available! Job Type: Part-Time Shift(s) Monday through Friday (3pm to 9pm) Thursday (8am to 8pm) Saturday and Sunday (8am to 8pm) Saturday and Sunday (9am to 9pm) Summary: Direct Service Professionals (DSPs) are responsible for performing essential care for our residents in our group homes under the direction of the Group Home Manager. This is a safety‑sensitive position. Resident Care Responsibilities Provide for the safety, emotional and physical needs of residents Ensure residents are clean, well‑groomed, and dressed appropriately for the season and environmental conditions Position and re‑position every 1 hour while awake and every 2 hours while asleep, as needed Ensure ISP objectives and data are implemented and documented daily according to the resident’s ISP Help residents cook meals and eat as needed Ensure residents are emotionally and physically stimulated to the best of their ability Assist with showering residents to ensure a complete shower is given Assist with resident laundry to ensure laundry is clean Pass medications in non‑medical group homes safely Driving Responsibilities Perform daily maintenance checks of the vehicles (e.g., checking turn signals, cleanliness, fuel, etc.) Keep signed documents (Med Appointment Forms) and return to Manager upon completion of appointments Escort and drive residents to appointments and activities as scheduled Maintain a clean driving record Report any changes to your driving record immediately Home Responsibilities Clean the home, including but not limited to all areas and resident bedrooms Ensure that required documentation (incident reports, HT daily duties, etc.) is completed before the end of shift Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required Attend training sessions required by the company (e.g., house meetings) Company Responsibilities Be flexible in hours worked and location to assist with staff coverage if needed Ensure compliance with Company policies and standards, including: Article 9, Prevention and Support, Annual TB skin test, Finger Print Clearance Card, CPR & 1st Aid, Annual Flu vaccine (or mask if refusing flu vaccine), current driver’s license in good standing, and adherence to directives and policies Essential Functions: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
