Speech Language Pathologist (SLP - CCC) - SNF / LTC - Contract

Job Overview A great SNF / LTC is looking for an experienced Speech Language Pathologist / SLP (SLP‑CCC) to join their growing team for a contract assignment. Responsibilities • Assess referred patients for speech, hearing, and language deficits.

• Teach patients how to make sounds, improve voice quality, and increase oral or written language skills to communicate more effectively.
• Instruct individuals on strengthening swallowing muscles or using compensatory strategies to swallow safely without choking or inhalation.

Qualifications Must have graduated from an accredited school. Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist / SLP or be in the process of obtaining licensure. Current CPR certification. Work within an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement a plan of care for each patient. Provide skilled speech therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders. Assess patient needs, plan, evaluate, and modify care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions. Set realistic and achievable goals for patients to develop or recover reliable communication and swallowing skills to fulfill educational, vocational, and social roles.
