Position: Toolmaker/CNC Machinist
Requirements: - First shift position.
- Person must be able to program, set-up and operate Haas VF-2SS to mill high-quality parts and achieve quoted cycle times in job shop environment (typical volume of 1 to 10 pieces).
- Person to have experience programming and operating Mitsubishi wire EDM as secondary work center, or will be trained to do so.
- Pre-employment physical
- No smoking policy during working hours
- NOTE: Flexible start date for this open position.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Attention to detail.
2. Ability to program, set-up and operate Haas VF-2SS vertical machining center, while regularly holding a tolerance of +/-.0005”, and occasionally +/-.0002”.
3. Ability to program using Mastercam software.
4. Ability to interpret complex detail drawings.
5. Ability to work overtime when required.
6. Ability to meet quoted times on jobs on a regular basis.
7. Ability to work as part of a team with a positive attitude.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience building gage components, precision details, and doing custom machining in a job shop environment.
2. Experience with tool steels, alloy steels, stainless steels, aluminum, brass. Bronze, and some plastics.
3. Ability to program and set-up 4th axis jobs.
4. Ability to hard-mill parts and hold tight tolerances.
5. Ability to provide coverage on a CNC lathe if ever required.
