Senior Field Service Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Field Service Engineer to join our Boulder-based Service Team supporting our Quantum Cryogenic product lines. This seasoned, hands‑on professional will deliver high‑quality technical service and support to customers. Key Responsibilities Perform preventative and corrective maintenance at customer sites to ensure optimal system performance. Install and commission FormFactor cryogenic systems, including executing final system acceptance testing per defined protocols. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex equipment issues both remotely (phone/email) and on‑site. Provide timely and professional customer communication to ensure a high‑quality service experience. Complete work orders, service reports, and documentation accurately and in alignment with company standards. Lead and resolve technical escalations, ensuring timely root‑cause identification and corrective actions. Collaborate cross‑functionally with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain to support product and process improvements. Develop, maintain, and improve service procedures, protocols, and technical documentation. Deliver technical training and instruction to customers, partners, and internal teams. Participate in ongoing training and certification programs to maintain and expand technical expertise. Physical Requirements On‑site position operating in both office and manufacturing environments. Extensive domestic travel is required, with occasional international travel. Ability to frequently bend, stoop, and lift equipment weighing 40–80 pounds; heavier items may require team lift or mechanical assistance. Work in confined spaces or controlled environments as required (e.g., cleanrooms, lab settings). Compensation & Benefits Pay Range: $60,600.00 – $79,590.00 per year (Boulder, Colorado); pay may vary in other locations.
