About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Medical/Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum Years of Experience required License: Current RN License Certifications: Trach, NIHSS, IV Start, PICC Lines Must-Have: - Strong Medical/Surgical skills - Experience with Trachs, complicated UTIs, pneumonia, sepsis, PEGs, peritoneal dialysis, altered mental status, and pancreatitis Description: Requires experience with tracheostomy care, NIH Stroke Scale assessments, IV starts, and PICC line placement. Strong Medical/Surgical nursing skills are essential. The position involves working on a research unit for 14 days of the month, focusing on complex medical cases for the remainder of the time. This includes managing patients with complicated UTIs, pneumonia, sepsis, tracheostomies, PEG tubes, and peritoneal dialysis. The position also involves participation in a flu challenge research study, where healthy patients are given the flu, and the staff monitors for symptoms.
