ARN - Operating Room Registered Nurse

Join a dedicated team providing professional nursing care in a surgical setting within a well-established regional healthcare network in the Southeastern United States. This full-time day shift role involves planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in the operating room, ensuring safety and quality throughout the surgical process.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assess patients and identify their care needs to organize appropriate nursing interventions.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while maintaining a safe environment.
• Serve as charge nurse when assigned, overseeing nursing activities and staff coordination.
• Maintain accurate and relevant patient care records.
• Administer medications as prescribed by physicians.
• Recognize and respond promptly to life-threatening situations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Monitor quality of care using outcome-oriented indicators.
• Participate actively in cost containment and accurate patient service charging.
• Adjust care based on age-specific physiological and psychosocial needs.
• Support patients' cultural and spiritual beliefs within medical guidelines.

Education:

• Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Experience:

• No prior experience required; new graduates encouraged to apply.

Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse licensure in a Compact state or the Southeastern U.S. region.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Effective organizational and leadership abilities.
• Knowledge of age-specific physiological, psychosocial, developmental, and spiritual patient needs.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift frequently; ability to communicate effectively.
