Buyer/Planner

Work Model The role is fully onsite at the designated Regal Rexnord office in Marengo. Overview We are seeking a Buyer/Planner to join our Marengo team. The Buyer/Planner will be responsible for managing buying and planning functions, including material replenishment, inventory management, scheduling customer orders, customer relations, and job planning to support on-time delivery and cost goals. Responsibilities Place purchase orders for materials and confirm delivery with suppliers. Expedite materials as needed. Lead Lean Materials process improvement initiatives. Drive inventory reduction and cost savings through lean tools and supplier negotiations. Generate daily production schedule to meet customer OTD. Coordinate schedules with outside suppliers and internal operations. Work closely with internal customers to prioritize production schedule and backlog. Monitor Kanban ordering system, resizing to current demand patterns. Support Customer Service, Product Managers, and Engineering as required. Resolve and work on quality issues with the quality team and suppliers. Drive FAI process using lean tools like FPQP. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field, or 5+ years of relevant manufacturing experience. Strong technical background, combination of education and work experience. Ability to read blueprints. Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong analytical skills and high proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Good organizational skills and problem‐solving abilities. Ability to analyze data, form strategic plans, and execute at the tactical level. Kanban experience; Oracle software preferred. Understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Kanban supply chains. Self‑starter with a strong sense of urgency. Change agent with demonstrated process improvement capability. US citizen, permanent resident, or green‑card holder (ITAR compliant). Physical Demands & Work Environment Requires use of hands, reaching, talking, sitting, standing, walking, moderate noise level. Compliance with export control laws applicable to US persons. Compensation Base salary range: $65,000 – $80,000 annually. Salary depends on location, skills, experience, education, and internal comparisons.
