Minimum qualifications Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience. 8 years of experience in program management. Experience in pre-construction life cycle management. Experience in environmental health and safety construction management. Preferred qualifications Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Formal territorial designation (E.g. CSP, CRSP, NEBOSH). 8 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects. Experience managing large-scale global programs within high-complexity infrastructure environments (e.g., Data Centers, Energy, or Heavy Industrial). As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You’re equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers. Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. US: $192,000 – $279,000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits Responsibilities Embed Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) requirements into the Front End Planning (FeP), Pre-Constrction and third-party Construction workflow, ensuring that safety and environmental compliance are core drivers of project readiness and speed of delivery. Establish global EHS standards for master planning and schematic design across all applicable Data Center envelopes, ensuring consistent risk mitigation from the earliest conceptual stages. Partner with all Construction team members to define and implement scalable compliance frameworks that address complex regulatory landscapes for all project portfolios. Architect and implement standardized EHS support models across the various project portfolios, clarifying roles and responsibilities between Google, developers, and third-party vendors. Lead high-level EHS risk evaluation during planning phases to proactively identify and mitigate catastrophic risks (e.g., environmental hazards, utility constraints) before project kick-off, ensuring the proper EHS resourcing is allocated.
