CNC Vertical Milling Setup Technician, Multi-Machine Operations

Ready to own the setup?

Can you read a print, choose the right tooling, upload a program, and turn out a perfect first piece—then keep two VMCs producing while you prep the next job? If that sounds like your rhythm, you’ll feel at home here.

What you’ll tackle

Set up and run CNC vertical milling centers to meet job specs and quality targets
Install tooling and fixtures; upload/verify programs
Read and interpret engineering drawings
Perform first-article and in-process checks with micrometers, calipers, and gauges
Tweak offsets, make minor adjustments, and troubleshoot light issues
Operate up to two machines at a time; complete 1–5 setups per shift depending on demand
Thrive in a fast-paced, team-first environment

Blueprint literacy
Quality inspection skills with micrometers, calipers, and gauges
Comfort with Fanuc controls

Haas VMC setup/operation experience
On-control program editing
G-code and M-code knowledge
