Accountant

We are recruiting on behalf of a respected consulting firm based in Honolulu, seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to work with diverse clients, tackling unique financial challenges in a dynamic and collaborative environment. Applicants must be in Hawaii at the time of application. Key Responsibilities Perform general accounting functions, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. Assist with tax preparation and filings forbusinesses. Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to improve financial processes. Support audits and compliance reviews for various clients. Maintain accurate and organized records for multiple client accounts. Utilize accounting software to manage and streamline accounting tasks. Communicate regularly with clients to understand and address their financial needs. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 3+ years of professional accounting experience; experience in public accounting is a plus. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational and time-management abilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with clients and team members. CPA certification or progress toward certification is preferred.
