Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technologist

Shift: Varied Hours per Shift: 10 hours split shift during weekends (10 AM - 8:30 PM) and 12:30 PM - 11 PM during the week

Experience: Minimum one year of medical technology experience required

License: Associate Degree in medical technology or a related science required

Certifications: ASCP or AMT certification required, BLS (AHA) certification required

Must-Have:

• Certification in Medical Technology (MT/MLS) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) by an accredited agency or the equivalent.
• Cross-functional experience in all laboratory departments except histology.
• Blood bank experience is required.

Description: Utilizing independent judgment. The Medical Technologist performs complex chemical and biological test procedures on blood, tissue, body fluids, or excretions in either Hematology, Blood Bank, Chemistry, or Microbiology. The technologist also instructs incumbents in assigned areas.
