Program Manager
anduril
Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI‑powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting‑edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years. ABOUT THE TEAM Anduril’s Tactical Recon & Strike (TRS) Division is seeking a Program Manager to join our team. Anduril’s Tactical Recon & Strike (TRS) is a division with two missions: 1) build highly capable autonomous drones, and 2) build solid rocket motors at scale. We transform products like Ghost, Anvil, Bolt, and Altius from early concepts into fully operational capabilities by partnering closely with specialist engineering, operations, and production teams. Through our Anduril Rocket Motor Systems (RMS) team, we design and manufacture solid rocket motors using advanced materials, proprietary formulations, and high‑volume production methods—delivering safe, reliable propulsion systems that support a wide range of mission requirements. TRS hires software engineers and hardware engineers, who are excited to build across a diverse and powerful portfolio—from autonomous aerial systems to high‑performance solid rocket motors. Our teams contribute to highly capable autonomous robotics systems and propulsion products that operate reliably in the most demanding mission environment. We work in close coordination with specialist teams to solve some of the hardest problems facing our customers. Anduril is seeking a highly skilled, mission‑driven, highly organized, detail‑oriented, and responsive Program Manager to provide critical tactical support and operational oversight for our strategic defense clients, driving the adoption, expansion, and long‑term success of Anduril’s cutting‑edge Launched Effects. You will serve as a trusted advisor, deeply understand client operational requirements and translate them into impactful solutions that leverage our solutions. This role requires a unique blend of strategic thinking, technical aptitude, exceptional relationship‑building skills, and a passionate commitment to national security. In addition, this role achieves results by focusing on the day‑to‑day management of client accounts, ensuring the smooth deployment, ongoing functionality, and optimal performance of Anduril’s Launched Effects solutions. You will be the primary point of contact for operational queries, issue resolution, logistics coordination, and direct support to ensure our military and government customers’ success. Strategic Client Engagement: Serve as the lead point of contact for key defense accounts focused on Launched Effects solutions, establishing and nurturing strong, enduring relationships with military leadership, program offices, and operational end‑users. Develop a deep understanding of client mission objectives, operational environments, and strategic priorities to proactively identify and position Anduril’s Launched Effects products. Navigate complex government procurement processes, contracting mechanisms (e.g., DIU, SBIR, OTA), and funding cycles to ensure successful program execution and growth. Champion client needs internally, collaborating closely with Anduril’s Engineering, Product, and Integration teams to inform product roadmap and ensure timely, high‑quality solution delivery. Daily Client Operations & Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, managing day‑to‑day communications, operational requests, and urgent support needs related to Launched Effects product line. Address client inquiries promptly and effectively, providing direct solutions or coordinating with internal technical support, engineering, and logistics teams for rapid resolution of issues. Track and document all client interactions, support tickets, and operational feedback in the CRM system (e.g., Salesforce) with meticulous detail. Ensure clients receive timely updates on product enhancements, revisions, and relevant technical documentation. Solution Adoption & Growth: Drive the successful adoption and integration of Anduril’s Launched Effects products into client operations, demonstrating clear mission value and operational superiority. Identify and cultivate opportunities for expansion within existing accounts, including upselling new features, capabilities, cross‑selling adjacent Anduril technologies, and securing follow‑on contracts. Develop comprehensive account plans, sales strategies, and proposals that align with client requirements and Anduril’s strategic objectives. Conduct compelling technical demonstrations, presentations, and product briefings to diverse audiences, from technical specialists to general officers. Tactical Execution & Deliverables: Coordinate the scheduling and logistics for product demonstrations, training sessions, and field support visits with clients and internal teams. Monitor the operational status and usage data of deployed Launched Effects products, proactively identifying potential issues or areas for improvement in coordination with technical teams. Process and track client orders for system upgrades, spare parts, consumables, and additional training modules. Facilitate contract renewals by ensuring all terms and conditions of current agreements are met and documented. Prepare and deliver routine operational status reports, usage metrics, and support summaries to clients and internal stakeholders. Internal Coordination & Problem Solving: Act as the liaison between client operational teams and Anduril’s internal engineering, product, and field support teams to ensure client requirements are accurately relayed and understood for immediate action. Troubleshoot basic technical issues on‑site or remotely, escalating complex problems to the appropriate technical experts. Support the integration and qualification and testing of new Launched Effects system by coordinating client access and feedback. Assist in identifying and documenting client needs for future product features based on immediate operational feedback. Performance & Reporting: Forecast and track key account metrics, including revenue targets, program milestones, and operational deployment success. Provide regular, insightful reports to internal leadership on account status, strategic opportunities, competitive landscape, and challenges. Manage contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms that support long‑term partnerships and Anduril’s business goals. Domain Expertise & Market Intelligence: Maintain an expert‑level understanding of Anduril’s Launched Effects product portfolio, including technical specifications, operational advantages, and future development pathways. Stay abreast of industry trends in rocket motor systems, applications and defense technologies, as well as evolving national security threats and doctrine. Gather and synthesize client feedback and market intelligence to contribute to Anduril’s product development and competitive strategy. Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all client activities comply with contractual agreements, security protocols, and relevant government regulations. Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date client records, contact information, and equipment inventory. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science), Business Administration, or a related discipline. 5+ years of progressive experience in program/project management, sales, or business development within the defense, aerospace, or government contracting sector. Demonstrated experience with unmanned aerial systems (UAS), autonomous platforms, AI/ML applications, or Launched Effects technologies is highly desirable. Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain one, is required. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain exceptional attention to detail in a fast‑paced environment. Proven track record of successfully managing complex client relationships and closing significant contracts with U.S. government entities (DoD, IC, etc.). Prior military experience, especially in an operational or procurement role related to advanced systems, is a significant advantage. Skills & Competencies: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences. Strong strategic thinking and problem‑solving abilities, with a capacity to connect client needs to innovative technical solutions. Proficiency in using CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) for documentation, tracking, and reporting. Includes program management tools. Ability to coordinate logistics, schedules, and resources efficiently. Highly responsive, proactive, and client‑focused with a strong sense of urgency. Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑stakes environment. Relentless commitment to supporting national security missions and delivering operational excellence. A deep sense of mission and commitment to strengthening national security through technological innovation. Ability to travel frequently (up to 50% or more) to client sites, operational environments, and Anduril facilities as required. Benefits Anduril offers a comprehensive, competitive benefits package, available at little to no cost to employees, ensuring you’re supported in health, recovery, and whatever comes next. The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on work experience, education, and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full‑time offers and are considered part of Anduril’s total compensation package. We consider employees eligible for a broad range of benefits including health insurance, dental, vision, and other typical benefits, but the full details will be provided during the interview process. All employees are eligible for paid vacation and sick days. #J-18808-Ljbffr
