Speech Language Pathologist - Long Term Care Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Shift: 7AM - 3:30PM Job Description The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will provide comprehensive evaluation and therapeutic services for patients in a long-term care setting. The SLP will work closely with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members to support communication and swallowing needs. Responsibilities Conduct evaluations and assessments of patients' speech and language abilities. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve patients' communication and swallowing capabilities. Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure effective care coordination. Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary. Provide guidance and support to patients and their families regarding communication strategies. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Graduate of an accredited college/university program in Speech Language Pathology. Current New York State license as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Eligibility for or possession of the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Experience in long‑term care settings is mandatory. Proficient with MS Office and Epic/EMR software.
