Shipping/Warehouse Associate

Shipping/Warehouse Associate East Jordan Plastics is currently seeking Warehouse Associates to fill our Day Shift opening. The primary responsibilities of a Shipping/Warehouse Associate include receiving incoming shipments, verifying the contents of each package, and preparing outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, and arranging for transportation.

- Operate HI-LO and other warehouse equipment is a safe manner
- Load and unload trucks and containers of product and material
- Maintain logs and requests with shipping/receiving information
- Able to read and understand HI-LO scale, count, and identify skids, and record appropriately
- Provide support to the warehouse and plant in relationship to the movement of product and material
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Must be 18 years of age
- Have 2-year HI-LO & warehouse experience
- Have a valid driver's license
- Excellent attention to detail, timeliness, and organization
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasked environment
- RF scanner experience - preferred but not required
- Strong commitment to safety
- Must be able to bend, twist, climb, stand, sit, and lift items of up to 50lbs
- Must be able to pass a background check, pre-employment drug screen and physical
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years previous experience in shipping/warehouse environment preferred.
- Must be able to drive a Forklift and scissor lift
- Consistent work schedule
