Job Summary
Medical Surgical Floor (MS) nursing position is available in a healthcare organizations neuro/ortho unit. This role involves providing direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols. The nurse will implement and monitor patient care plans, communicate patient conditions, and serve as a primary coordinator of multidisciplinary efforts for efficient patient care. Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to function with minimal supervision are essential. The shift is scheduled during the day hours, with a minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 09/27/2026 and concluding on 12/26/2026.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, completion of Ascension Resume and Ascension Profile, professional references, and successful completion of Ascension Skills Checklist
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in neuro/ortho nursing, familiarity with Epic charting system, Navy or maroon scrubs preferred
• Additional Information: The position involves working on a 15-bed neuro/ortho unit. Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, carrying out physician and nursing orders, and coordinating discharge planning with the healthcare team. The clinical environment may be stressful, requiring critical thinking, decsive judgment, and adherence to safety protocols.
