Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1 year of PCU/Stepdown experience required. License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS required. Must-Have: ACLS and NIHSS strongly preferred. Description: CROSS POSTING FOR JOBS: Neuro Tele/Stepdown RN. Start date: ASAP. Ratios: 1:4. First-timers accepted. Weekend requirements: Every other weekend required. Must work 4 of 8 days: Thanksgiving Eve, Thanksgiving Day, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, 12/26, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day. Is on-call required? No. Will the clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Floating may be required to similar units. Open to accommodating a block schedule? Manager discretion. Locals accepted? No. RTO Restrictions: Please have RTO dates at time of submission. Type of Facility: Short Term Acute Care. Trauma Level: Level II Trauma Center, Teaching Client. Total Staffed Beds: 497. Scrub Color: Navy Blue. Charting: EPIC. COVID-19 Vaccine: Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions Only. Flu Vaccine: Unknown. Number of Weekend Shifts per Contract: Variable. Pre-Approved Time Off: Not applicable. Unit Details: Patient Age Groups: Adults, Geriatrics. Daily Census: 18. Additional Unit Information: We are a flexacuity unit with neuro step down and neuro tele patients. Candidate Requirement: Candidates who live within 70 miles from facility are considered locals. Locals are not accepted. Ventilation Clearance is required. Travelers must complete a mask fit test. All clinicians cannot work past 1 year as a traveler. A 6-month break must be taken to return. Modules are not billable and hours may vary. Modules are completed pre-start and recorded on transcripts.
