About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for Trading Credit Risk to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be a senior member of the US Capital Markets Risk Management team, with a focus on managing and adjudicating a non-bank financial institution (NBFI) portfolio. This role is pivotal in assessing and mitigating credit risk associated with trading and financing activities involving hedge funds, private capital firms, and institutional asset managers. The Executive Director will lead a team of credit risk analysts, fostering a culture of professionalism, collaboration, and teamwork, and will work closely with business partners to ensure compliance with risk management policies and a prudent risk profile. Applicants must be seasoned credit professionals with a minimum of 10 years' experience in a banking, broker-dealer, or related financial services environment. The role requires deep counterparty credit expertise across alternative investment sectors, strong judgment in credit assessments, and a demonstrated ability to evaluate a wide range of business requests. A degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field is required, with an MBA or equivalent experience preferred. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of middle market lending, CLOs, and commercial real estate warehouse financing, as well as familiarity with risk management methodologies and trading floor activities. Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to operate effectively in a matrixed management environment are essential.
