Senior Software Embedded Displays Engineer

What You Will Do Support leadership, development, test, and other tasks throughout the software life cycle for aircraft embedded software applications. Interface with avionics systems (displays, navigation, mission planning) and work with Systems Engineers to design solutions aligned with end-user and operational needs. Participate in all aspects of a software development life cycle as part of a multi-disciplined team. Support new and legacy military and commercial programs from concept and requirements through design, development, integration, test, and potential maintenance tasks. Provide technical leadership through mentorship, reviews, and contributions to proposals, design, and process improvements. Qualifications Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, unless prohibited by local laws/regulations. Experience in software requirements, design, development, integration, and test. Experience developing and testing software using C, C++, C#, Ada or closely related languages. Experience developing software in a Windows environment. Experience in computer scripting languages such as Shell/Perl/Python. Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required for clearance eligibility. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree (MS) in a STEM discipline preferred. Experience with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) such as Linux, Green Hills INTEGRITY, VxWorks, or similar. Familiarity with DO-178C/DO-330/DO-331 processes and ARINC 653/ARINC 661 standards. Experience in Unix/Linux environments and software libraries/tools (DDS, ZeroMQ/NetMQ, OpenGL, VAPS XT). Experience with embedded avionics, MIL-STD-1553B, and hardware interfaces (TCP/IP, UDP, RS-422, USB, PCI, 1553). Software configuration management tools (Git) and Agile development environments (Azure DevOps or equivalent). Strong analytical skills and ability to lead within a multi-discipline team.
