RN - MedSurg/Tele

We are seeking a Registered Nurse in the Med/Surg/Tele specialty. The role involves providing care primarily for adult and geriatric patients. Common diagnoses include COPD exacerbation, pneumonia, CHF exacerbation, falls with injuries, MVC with injuries, pulmonary embolism, DVT, UTI, pneumothorax, GI bleeds, and CVA. Patient ratios are dependent on unit and acuity. Expected RN ratios are as follows: 6CD - 1:5-6, 3K - 1:4, 5A - 1:4, 3L - 1:4, and 1T - 1:4. Support staff includes CNAs and a secretary. CNA tasks include vital checks, hygiene care, and patient assistance. A unit secretary assists with administrative tasks and support. A charge nurse is available to help manage the unit. Phlebotomy is available 24/7. Telemetry monitoring is conducted by nurses with primary responsibility for telemetry interpretation. The facility uses an EMR system for patient records. Floating to different regions and facilities might be required based on the needs of the department. The scheduling includes a weekend rotation every other weekend and holiday expectations. Travelers will work 75% of holidays and can request up to 6 days off without penalty. The unit fosters a supportive and family-like environment for all staff.
