Senior Cyber Security Engineer, Mobile Protection

Salary: $92,000 - 132,000 per year Requirements:

• We require a high school diploma or GED.
• A bachelors degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline is preferred.
• We expect at least 3 years of experience in IT or information security and 2+ years focused on mobile device security.
• We need hands-on experience with mobile device management platforms such as Intune, Soti, or Google MDM.
• We require experience securing and administering iOS and Android devices.
• We value experience acting as a senior advisor for mobile security technology and shaping strategy around business or regulatory needs.
• We look for experience working in structured, process-oriented environments and contributing to process improvement efforts.
• Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC, or CEH are preferred.
• We expect advanced knowledge of security concepts, methods, and implementations across mobile device security platforms.
• We need strong problem-solving skills and the ability to address complex issues proactively.
• We require a solid understanding of the systems development lifecycle and the ability to guide multifunctional initiatives.

• We design, engineer, manage, review, and improve mobile device security solutions, configurations, and technologies.
• We develop and maintain security standards aligned with NIST guidance, including NIST 800-53.
• We strengthen preventive and automated controls to address cybersecurity threats while supporting business needs.
• We build and refine policies, standards, and processes for threat identification, prioritization, remediation, and compliance metrics.
• We provide technical direction to Cyber Security and Information Technology teams to drive remediation and establish secure configurations.
• We help create and document a comprehensive mobile device protection strategy, including control standards and improvement opportunities.
• We mentor and collaborate with Cyber Security and Information Technology colleagues to better protect our systems and data.
• We work with architects to design and implement solutions that enhance the protection of our systems and information.
• We manage the security and compliance of mobile devices, including configuration, protection, policy enforcement, and troubleshooting.
• We complete additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by cybersecurity leadership.

We are Community Health Systems, and this role sits within our Endpoint Security Program in the Cybersecurity Risk Management Department. The Mobile Device Security Senior Engineer reports to the Manager of Endpoint Security and plays a key role in strengthening the protection of our information technology assets and data. We offer the opportunity to work closely with cybersecurity and IT teams, collaborate with architects on security design, and help shape the strategy for mobile device protection across the organization.
